Mariam
– Administrative Lead

Mariam

I manage employee affairs, patient financials, and insurance. I have a background in health science management and medical record-keeping. In my free time, I enjoy writing poetry, traveling, and occasional photography. What motivates me to do the work I do here is being in a place where my voice is heard and seeing that representation matters in health care. I contribute to the customer experience by making sure customers are heard, taken care of, and understood when it comes to their time here, from when they walk in until they leave.

Toni
– Patient Experience Lead

Toni

I help connect patient’s looking for care with the excellent care available at Marigold Dental Studio. I come up with new and innovative ideas to elevate the patient experience. Having a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and then becoming an administrative assistant for over five years, I’ve been able to combine the skills of those roles to better serve the patients here. My goal is to enthusiastically engage with patients by creating a warm and welcoming environment. When I am not serving our patients at the studio, I am writing, singing, and performing. I love engaging with people inside and outside of the studio. I love hearing patients’ feedback about the pleasant, spa-like experience they received before, during, and after their treatment.

Missy
– Scheduling Lead

Missy

I ensure that patient appointments are streamlined and manage the scheduling processes for the team.

Bim
– Chairside Assistant

Bim

My role consists of assisting Dr. Alesh during procedures and ensuring an excellent dental experience. I graduated from East Providence High School and then went on to study at CCRI, where I became certified as a dental assistant and in dental radiology in 2019. At 29, I am an ambitious and driven mother of one. I am passionate about providing excellent care and well versed in health care, having worked as a dental assistant and a certified nursing assistant. I feel energized and happy to be at work every day when I get there. The feeling of providing a great experience to our patients is what motivates me the most. A lot of the time, people come in feeling uneasy or experiencing discomfort, and by the time they leave the studio, they are relieved and happy with their visit. It’s a very rewarding feeling to know the work I do here can affect someone in such a positive way. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Misa
– Secondary Assistant

Misa

As a secondary assistant, my responsibility is to ensure the patient records, clinic facility, instruments, and equipment are up to standard and ready for excellent patient care. I am currently completing my third year of my undergrad degree at Rhode Island College. After I complete my undergraduate degree, I plan on continuing my education and becoming a dental hygienist. I am extremely proud to be a part of a caring team, and I enjoy working in an environment that allows me to further my knowledge of oral health. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and self-care activities.

Laudela
– Sterilization Assistant

Laudela

My role here is to sterilize instruments, setting up patients’ suites for treatment, and opening and closing treatment suites. I am a junior at the University of Rhode Island, majoring in biological sciences. My dream is to become a dentist. I was born and raised in France, and moved to the United States when I was 13 years old. I come from a Cape Verdean and Togolese family. Seeing my orthodontist very frequently growing up inspired me to pursue a career in this field. My time spent here at Marigold Dental Studio made me fall even more in love. It also makes me very happy to see where I am today because I remember moving here and knowing no English. For me to now be a junior in college and pursue my dream is a very big thing for me. What motivates me to do what I do here at Marigold Dental Studio is knowing that one day I will be a dentist and seeing every patient leave the studio happily motivates me because I know that one day I will be the one making people smile.

Feyi
– Sterilization Assistant

Feyish

I am a current student at URI interested in becoming a dentist.

Alveta
– Clinic Assistant

Alveta

I am a non-traditional pre-dental student earning my bachelors of science at Johnson & Wales University. I am a first-generation student who grew up in a Liberian household located in Providence, RI. I hope to become a doctor of dental medicine in the future and possibly specialize in orthodontics. Growing up, I was not confident in my smile, and it is my dream to help others who feel the same way I once felt with their smiles. What motivates me the most to be at Marigold Dental Studio is the environment. Being able to walk in and see more than one person with whom I share cultural similarities feels like a safe environment. Being in this safe environment really encourages me to bring my best self in. I contribute to the patient experience by bringing a calming and positive attitude.
